A good day!

Today has been a great day for Ryker and me. I am recovering really fast. Yes sore, but I am walking around and doing the mom thing. I was even lucky today to get my IV out....Yea!!!!! Hopefully I won't need one of those for a while.  We got some good news back on Ryker. His heart looks good so the docs said they are not concerned about that anymore. Also, his bowel situation is gone. Nothing, no problems. They did a chest exam and everything looks good there too.  The only concerns now are his breathing. He is still on the breathing tube. And if there are any mental abnormalities or syndromes. We won't get any of those tests back until next week. Praying for nothing like that, but we will still love him no matter what.  He does have some sunglasses on today to help with the bright lights. Keep him in your prayers. Thanks for all the love and support.  Not that we don't like visitors, but it was a great quit day here at the hospital. I got to sleep and rest my sore body. Love you all.

Ryker is here!!!!!

Sorry I didn't post anything yesterday. It was a very crazy, fast day.  Ryker was having a hard time the night before with his heart rate. It was dropping quickly then it would come back up. On the ultrasound, the blood flow was completely backwards and he had stopped growing.  My doctor was very concerned because he wasn't moving as much as he did the week before. She debated between delivering me or send me to the university of Utah hospital for more tests. The doctor made a decision and I was life flighted to salt lake. Let me tell you, that was an experience I wouldn't want to do again. The ambulance ride to the airport in Idaho falls was terrible. They stuck me 6 time trying for a IV. I have bruises up both my arms. They tried for an hour wiggling the needle in my hands and arms. When we got to the airplane, I was tired and concerned they still didn't get the IV in. I was in an uncomfortable position the whole ride in the airplane and ambulance. Once on the plane, they tried for the last time on the  IV. They finally got it, but I gushed out blood all over the nurse. It was very painful.  once at the hospital in salt lake, I was checked in and did blood tests. I had three doctors come in and do an ultrasound. They noticed that Ryker wasn't moving. They said the c-section couldn't wait. I was also told the baby might have something that could be fatal. I was scared, parker wasn't there, and they rushed me into the operating room. I was crying during the procedure, but my sister showed up right after they started. I am so grateful for her. I was a mess. Parker came in after Ryker was born. Ryker was born 7:31pm 3lbs 15.5" long. He is a cute little guy. We didn't get to see him until 2:00 in the morning. He is stable right now. They did lots of tests last night and today. We won't get results back for a few days. He is on a breathing tube, but he is so cute! Ryker is even a red head. Here are some pictures

Pictures for your entertainment

parker making light of the situation.... He entertains us all.
Ultrasounds are our everyday norm right now.
My beautiful young women. I sure missed them today from church.
I love my mommy. she sent me some entertaining items for the long stay here at the hospital.

Baby news for Today

We had a ultrasound done about an hour ago. Dr. Beauchamp gave us new information. Everything is still going the same as normal. He is still stable.  The bowel is starting to stop growing. More of the bowel is not functioning. She informed us that it could be a twisted bowel or a bowel that is growing inside itself. Both condition can be fixed through surgery after birth. The Dr said time will only tell whats going on with it. So we are still here hanging out at the hospital. My butt is sore and sleeping is starting to get a little tough. But we push forward. Ryker is going to be ok in the end.

Ryker Delano Allen

Hey everyone, I thought it would be easier for everyone to be updated if I started a blog about our journey here at the hospital. If you don't already know little Ryker is having some problems inside my tummy. His bowel is not functioning properly, the right side of his heart is a little larger due to pressure in the blood vessels not working properly. Also, the blood flow through the placenta and umbilical cord is not flowing like it should. I have been getting ultrasounds everyday and right now everything is stable. Ryker is doing well right now. We will be in the hospital until he is born, which could be 9 weeks. Thanks for all the prayers and support. I will post everyday after the ultrasound so everyone will be up to date. Thanks again. We love you all. Here are a few pictures. He is even giving a thumbs up saying he is doing awesome!
